I’m Emily Thorne, receptionist/administrative assistant/gopher for Direct Mortgage Company. My tasks here at Direct Mortgage are numerous: answering incoming calls, being a member of the “Live Support” online team, receiving all incoming shipments and shipping out all closed loans, etc. I could go on, but no one wants to hear the nitty-gritty details, right?
A short day-in-the-life-of-me goes something like this: get to work, log on to “Live Support” for our customers, receive and stack all closing documents before sending them over to funding for approval, file the FedEx tracking information from the night before, check for any faxes that may have errors, answer e-mails, answer phones, reply to any voicemail received, and make courtesy phone calls to loan officers who have uploaded files into our system… then I go to lunch, which is usually ramen noodles (yum!).
I really enjoy the pressure associated with my job, and the constant “busy”ness. Direct Mortgage is a wonderful place to work, and I’m so glad to be a part of this great team!
